01-21-09 Bro Jeevan from East India appreciates FBF family… requests prayer
DEAREST BELOVED MAN OF GOD ROBERT EPHRATA AND FBF BRETHREN
Greetings to you in Holy name of our Lord Saviour Jesus Christ. We are really grateful and thankful for your holy prayers and comforting words in the time of pain and sorrow. We had memorial service of my mother on Sunday with various pastors and ministers in our area.
I write to you with a heart full of love for you all. I cant able to find a word for convey my gratuities to you toward me and my ministry in India and I am so happy to be a part of this big family of God. What a day it will be when we come together with Jesus in Heaven. Amen!
I believe we are going to share much with the servants of God from the four corners of the world either by prayer support or financial support and one more thing I want to added that I know is this prayer support is essential than any other even than silver or gold. Peter and John told the lame man at the door of the temple “gold we do not have nor silver but we can give you what we have, in the name of Jesus stand up and walk!” Truly the lame man became whole and walked praised God. They gave him what he wanted most.
We are praying and hoping that this year I really need to go deeper into the work of the Lord. If God willing it is my prayer that I get more resources to accomplish God work.
Please keep this prayer requests in your daily prayers.

01-17-10 So Africa/ Cape Town FBF Bro Renier reports in on the preach!
Greetings Bro Robert!
This past weekend was very HOT. The temperature soared into the thirties (Celcius). I went to Strand-beach on Saturday-afternoon to preach there, but because of the strong wind there were not that much people. I did manage to speak to a number of people and to hand out a few tracts so that was good. On Sunday-afternoon I went back to the beach again, but this time the beach was PACKED with people! It was a perfect summer’s day. No wind and very hot! Perfect! I started to preach at the market-place first on the one end of the beach before I went to preach on the beach itself. The preach went really well! Quite a number of people came to talk to me and a number of people even called me over to where they lay on the sand to come and talk with them. Most of the people I talked to questioned me about my “confrontational approach”. I was told once again by a guy studying to become a pastor and by another lady in another conversation that I should preach more about the love of God. I told them that it is UN-biblical to stand before a crowd of people and to tell them that God loves them! I told them that the word “love” does not appear even once in the book of Acts, which is the book that shows us how the apostles went about to evangelize the world, yet the word “fear” occurs almost 10 times in this book! I also added that Jesus Christ preached more about hell than anybody else in the Bible. One lady who argued with me even argued this point and so I said to her: “Do yourself a favour. Go home, pick up a concordance and look up the word ‘hell’ and you will see Who preached more about hell than anyone else.” This lady ended our conversation by saying that she is ashamed of me. The pastor-in-training (or should I say the Pharisee-in-the-making) I spoke to also said that I must stop preaching hate by telling people they’re going to hell. I quickly replied: “Hate? HATE? When was I preaching hate?” He added: “With this sign … it says ‘where will you spend eternity? Heaven or hell when you die.’ You are condemning people by your sign!” I replied: “No, I’m not! I’m merely asking a question with my sign! That’s all!” The Pharisee-in-training also said that people have changed and the times have changed and therefore I should consider changing my method and try to reach the people with more subtlety. I quoted Mark 13:31 to prove that God’s words and God’s methods never changed. I had my hands full yesterday in defending my confrontational approach to modern-day Pharisees and Sad-you-sees! But nevertheless it was a good preach! I enjoyed every minute of it!
Bro Ivan preached all by himself in another town called “Worcestor”. He took his family there to do some shopping in the morning and while they were busy shopping he redeemed the time by preaching in the main-street and on the busiest street-corners in town. He phoned me after his preach to report how it went. He sounded like he had a great time! Praise the LORD!
